(VOVworld) – The Iraqi Air Force killed 19 IS commanders in the northern city of Monsul, Russia’s Spunik reported on Saturday.

According to a statement released by the Iraqi army, “Air Force fighter jets carried airstrikes against the IS headquarters in Mosul's al-Misaq quarter, when there were high-ranking commanders of the group. As a result of a successful airstrike all the militants in the number of 19 in the headquarters were killed".

The same day, Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry reported that it had arrested 3 IS members allegedly involved in a murder of a high-ranking official.
