He said that as soon as the United States returns to compliance, Iran will comply. Zarif said more than 1,000 sanctions were reimposed or newly implemented by President Trump, which President Biden needs to remove completely. The foreign minister warned that Iran has no choice now but to implement a law passed by parliament to expand its nuclear project, unless the US rejoins the deal.

Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, blames the West for delaying the revival of nuclear talks, saying the delay is not due to tactical problems or Iran’s domestic politics. Shamkhani said on Twitter that nothing will happen until the US lifts the sanctions.
