Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki said this victory was made possible by the principled position of the majority of Interpol members, 75 percent of whom supported Palestine.  

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday criticized Interpol’s decision to admit the Palestinians as a member, saying it will weaken Interpol’s anti-terror capabilities.
