(VOVWORLD) - These days, many foreign tourists are living the festive atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of National Day. No matter where they come from, they can feel the deep patriotism and national pride of the Vietnamese people radiating throughout Vietnam’s streets.

Streets in Hanoi are adorned with colorful banners, slogans, decorations, and the red and gold of Vietnam’s national flag. The rehearsals for the grand military parade have delighted local residents and foreign visitors.

Thai tourist Passapol Phukhang said, “I feel like it's a big event coming up with a lot of flags a lot of excitement around.”

Maria Michelle Kouteili, a tourist from Canada, said, “September 2nd is gonna very excited about the parades, about the festivities. You feel like it's has whole process. So you feel the excitement coming up in, everyone from the locals, the young people and the foreigners. It’s very excited to watch the parades. I’m sure it's gonna be something very big and very memorable.”

Balint Horvath, Secretary of the Hungarian Water Partnership, attended VOV’s special virtual reality exhibition “Back to the Sacred Moment,” which recreates President Ho Chi Minh’s historic Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square in 1945. 

He said, “It was really amazing. Among the people and clapping with the hands. We know a lot about Ho Chi Minh. We saw already the Mausoleum. We were there, so we appreciate these opportunities.”

Many visitors said they were very impressed by a beautiful and welcoming Vietnam, calling it a happy and proud nation.

A tourist said, “You can feel the spirit of Vietnam, the love for the country, that they are all together celebrating the National Day.”

“So it's very nice for me. I am interested for me because I was here the first time, 1919, and I see this country growing up, growing up….It is my second home,” another male visitor said.

The pride and patriotic spirit of the Vietnamese people has made a strong impression and touched the hearts of friends near and far.
