Themed “One world, One health”, the ninth International Day of Yoga, is expected to attract 10,000 participants, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya said at a press conference in Hanoi on Friday.
According to Ambassador Sandeep, the issue of one world, one health is related to ancient thought and the whole idea of International Day of Yoga. In ancient Indian literature and philosophy and thought, the individual is always related to the world as a whole, he said.
“As the world emerges from the COVID pandemic, health in general, I think, has become more prominent, more thought about, around the world, and the World Health Organization has been saying that we need to stay alert,” said the Indian diplomat, adding, “Health has to be a higher priority for the world and for international law, international regulations, and international organizations.”
The first event this year will be held next Sunday at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi. The main event will take place on June 18 in downtown Hanoi.
