(VOVworld) – The UN, the EU, the OSCE, and the US have all expressed concern over clashes in Kiev, after Ukraine’s Parliament adopted new constitutional amendments, which would provide for the decentralization of the country.

(VOVworld) – The UN, the EU, the OSCE, and the US have all expressed concern over clashes in Kiev, after Ukraine’s Parliament adopted new constitutional amendments, which would provide for the decentralization of the country. According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, at least one person is dead and 130 others injured during clashes between protesters and security forces.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged restraint and for the resolution of disputes through peaceful means and in line with the law. Federica Mogherini, the EU foreign chief, said that the EU supported the amendments, adding that Ukraine shouldn’t let the violence in Kiev damage the Minsk agreement. Ilkka Kanerva, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE, condemned the clashes in Kiev. Mark Toner, Deputy spokesman for the US Department of State, said that the US also condemned the violence and supported the amendments.
