Addressing the committee’s first conference in Hanoi on Tuesday, Tran Tuan Anh, Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission, said the project will set out guidelines and orientations to promote Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense in the new period.

Conference participants proposed measures that will determine the development orientation for the next period. The proposals focus on practicality, new breakthroughs to boost industrialization and modernization, specific guidelines and policies, and geopolitical and Fourth Industrial Revolution impacts.
