Industrial parks resume production in coronavirus hotspots of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang

(VOVWORLD) - As the COVID-19 pandemic is showing signs of waning, businesses in industrial parks in the two neighboring provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh have restored production and increased operations.

Nguyen Xuan Ngoc, Deputy Director of Bac Giang Industrial Park Management Board, said that 242 enterprises in industrial zones have called 39,000 employees back to work. In the next one or two days, a few dozen more will register for production restoration plans.

In Nguyen Duc Long, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Industrial Park Management Board, said more than 900 businesses are operating in industrial zones and employing 255,000 workers. Bac Ninh will provide more support to increase the number of businesses in industrial parks to the pre-COVID-19 level. The province plans to construct new industrial zones and grant investment certificates for projects worth more than 200 million USD, said Long.
