Indonesian sport official hails host Vietnam’s effort

(VOVWORLD) - The 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) are being held in the spirit of solidarity of Southeast Asian nations, said Ferry Kono, head of the Indonesian delegation.

Talking to a VOV reporter, Mr. Kono praised Vietnam’s effort in organizing SEA Games 31 and keeping in contact with the Indonesian Olympic Committee, and said he hopes SEA Games 31 will be a success.

The Indonesian delegation includes 499 athletes who will compete in 32 events. 30 Indonesian athletes will march in the opening ceremony.

Indonesia is predicted to finish in the top four countries at SEA Games 31, the region’s biggest sports event, which will take place in Vietnam from May 12 to May 23.
