(VOVWORLD) - The Indian government will not review its decision not to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) even as member countries prepare to conclude the pact by the end of the year, according to India’s digital platform ThePrint.

India remains firm on this matter because of its worsening relations with China, who is an RCEP member, ThePrint said, adding that India has decided it won’t join any trade agreements of which China is a member.

RCEP is currently being negotiated by 15 countries, including the ten ASEAN members and their five trade partners: Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, and South Korea.
