Two of the three suspects are Pakistani citizens. Indian police offered rewards for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

On the same day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi affirmed that those involved and behind the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir will be hunted down and severely punished. Earlier, the Resistance Front (TRF), a branch of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack in Pahalgam.
