The death anniversary of the Hung Kings is commemorated on the tenth day of the third lunar month, which falls on April 29 this year, and is a national holiday.

Le Truong Giang, Director of the Hung Kings Temple historical relic complex, said preparations for the festival are under way. The 10-day event will take place at the historical relic complex and other locations in the province.

Ceremonies to offer incense to Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the progenitors of Vietnam, and a flower offering at the monument of President Ho Chi Minh talking to soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army will be held.

Incense offerings at relics worshiping the Hung Kings and famous generals under the Hung Kings’ reign will also be organized across Phu Tho.  

This year’s activities will be closely linked with tourism.
