The Humanitarian Month aims to build a united, human community and improve public health and safety against the COVID-19 pandemic.
President of the Hanoi Red Cross Society Dao Ngoc Trieu said the Society will help local authorities and sectors in poverty reduction and new rural development.
At the launch, the Hanoi Red Cross Society received donations worth 11 billion VND (470,000 USD) from its branches and businesses in Hanoi. The sum will help about 8,000 disadvantaged people, build 2 humanitarian works, and repair Red Cross houses.
