On Tuesday, the first day of the Lunar New Year, the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center will organize special artistic programs, offering visitors an authentic imperial experience.
The Changing of the Guard, a traditional military ritual of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), will take place at Ngo Mon Gate.
It will be followed by a cannon firing ceremony at Ngo Mon Gate and gift-giving and welcoming of the first international guests to the Imperial Citadel.
There will also be performances of traditional music, Hue folk songs, and a New Year concert. On the second and third days of the Lunar New Year, the Hue Imperial Citadel will host a spectacular lion dance and traditional martial arts performance.
