This announcement came days after the Houthis claimed they had downed a US military drone valued at 30 million USD.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the Yemeni group launched two "high-quality" attacks on US warships in different regions.
The first raid, involving cruise missiles and drones, targeted the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.
The second attack, using ballistic missiles and drones, aimed at two US destroyers in the Red Sea. According to the spokesperson, these raids lasted for eight hours and hit their intended targets, described as a response to recent US-UK airstrikes on Yemen.
The US Central Command has not confirmed the alleged Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. Regional sources are also assessing the reliability of the Houthis' statements.
