This is the third time Shrestha has been appointed to this position on the basis of his contributions to citizen protection and trade promotion between Vietnam and Nepal.       

Upon addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Ambassador to India concurrently Nepal and Bhutan said he hopes that with the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Nepal, with his capacity, experience and profound sentiment towards Vietnam, Shrestha would well fulfill assigned tasks as a contribution to strengthening economic, trade, cultural relations and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

Shrestha expressed his determination to perform well his representative role, be dedicated to carrying out related activities, including citizen protection and support for the local Vietnamese community, step up information and communications about land and people of Vietnam in Nepal, and propel bilateral cooperation across multiple fields forward.
