Hoi An hosts events to celebrate National Tourism Year

(VOVWORLD) - Hoi An will host several events during the next two months to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), mark 23 years since UNESCO recognized Hoi An as a World Cultural Heritage, and mark 5 years since Bai Choi art was acknowledged by the UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

There will be an art performance called "Hoi An - Colors of Silk" on November 25 at Ba Mu Temple.

Nguyen Van Lanh, Vice Chairman of the Hoi An municipal People's Committee, said: "We will introduce Hoi An’s traditions, especially traditional crafts which have been honored as national intangible cultural heritages. We will introduce Hoi An’s values to participate in the global Network of Creative Cities."

Other activities will include a series of photo and painting exhibits, a festival of folk songs, and a tea culture festival.
