Hoi An among 71 Most Beautiful Streets in the World, according to Architectural Digest |
Ranked 45th on the list, the one-km long Tran Phu Street is described by Architectural Digest a spectacular road worth traveling to see.
“Hội An, a highly prosperous and always-busy trading port active between the 15th and 19th centuries, is a highly visited spot for quite a few reasons, chief among them the monthly lantern festival on Trần Phú. The festival, which celebrates the full moon, involves lighting a candle and burning it at the bottom of a colorful paper lantern. It may sound like a fire hazard, but the Vietnamese locals have been doing it this way for centuries with no major incidents”, according to Architectural Digest.
