(VOVworld) – The Navy High Command and Nha Trang Naval Academy held a ceremony on Tuesday to receive a collection of maps and documents called “Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam – the historical and legal evidence” from the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The collection with 100 maps and documents was contributed by renowned domestic and international researchers and scholars. The maps and documents are of great historical and legal importance in asserting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagoes. A member of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family presented the Academy with a book about the General’s life.
