(VOVworld) – A monument dedicated to late President Ho Chi Minh has been inaugurated in Ho Chi Minh city. The monument inauguration took place on the occasion of President Ho’s 125th birth anniversary.

Addressing the ceremony, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said the monument will help educate the revolutionary tradition to younger education and further encourage their patriotism and follow the predecessors’ steadfast tradition. Mr. Trong: “Following the tradition and great effort by the city’s authorities and people, I believe that Ho Chi Minh city will continue to take the lead in the national construction and defence. Developing Ho Chi Minh city as a special urban area is a priority. It is essential to develop it into a major center of economic, finance, trade, science and technology in Vietnam and in the Southeast Asian region”.
An exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh with the South of Vietnam opened on Sunday. Nearly 100 photos feature special affection President Ho had for Southern people as well as practical activities in the South to study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh.
