Health clinics have been built in a great number of hamlets, helping Vietnam achieve the Millennium Development Goals of reducing maternal and child mortality and improving nutrition. Foreign healthcare experts, during visits to health clinics, praised local health workers for their efforts in disease prevention and primary healthcare.
Minister Tien underscored solutions to improve grass-roots health facilities: “Vietnam will offer a basic health package covering preventive examinations and health insurance.
