HCMC encourages overseas Vietnamese contributions to homeland

(VOVworld) – The Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in HCMC celebrated its 35th anniversary on Wednesday. The Committee has proposed policies and initiated programs to popularize Party guidelines and State policies on overseas Vietnamese affairs.

(VOVworld) – The Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in HCMC celebrated its 35th anniversary on Wednesday. The Committee has proposed policies and initiated programs to popularize Party guidelines and State policies on overseas Vietnamese affairs. Its communication activities, New Year meetings, summer camps for young people, and scientific and technological clubs have helped Vietnamese expats preserve traditional culture, enhance unity, and contribute to the nation.

Tran Hoa Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs in HCMC, said: “It’s necessary to specify Party guidelines and policies for overseas Vietnamese in terms of economics, science, technology, and education.  We’ll create conditions for them to do business in their home country through simplified procedures and encourage young people to return and contribute to national development.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HCMC People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to overseas Vietnamese and officials in this sector.
