At an online meeting on Monday, Mr. Nhan said the city has issued criteria to help production businesses assess the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus.  

“This week production businesses citywide will sign commitments to apply risk assessment criteria for the coronavirus. This is an important step,” said Le Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of HCMC’s People's Committee. 

HCM City has so far contained the pandemic effectively. There are 31 cases under treatment and several of them will be discharged this week. Meanwhile, the city has prepared 12,600 beds for Covid-19 isolation and treatment, 8,400 of them are still available.
