Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan met on Wednesday with Hakan Jevrell, State Secretary to Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden, who is visiting Vietnam for Sweden-Vietnam business roundtable discussion on innovation and sustainable development.
Jevrell said Sweden has experience, technology and resources, and is willing to cooperate and share development experience in the areas Ho Chi Minh City is prioritizing.
Impressed with the dynamic development and potential of Ho Chi Minh City, he said he wants to unlock the potential of cooperation between Swedish partners and the City in innovation, develop small and medium enterprises, build digital transformation and data management infrastructure, and cooperate to increase energy efficiency, smart power transmission as well as water management, wastewater waste and treatment.
Sweden also wants to further people-to-people diplomacy and student exchange, and is ready to invite Vietnamese businesses, including Ho Chi Minh City businesses, to invest in Sweden, Jevrell said.
