The ‘greening’ ceremony was followed by the Ireland Day event featuring Irish cultural activities. Visitors were treated to a painting exhibition and Irish games and traditional dance performed by the Cork University band. Irish Ambassador to Vietnam Cait Moran said this is an opportunity to better the relationship between Ireland and Vietnam and bring the Irish culture to Vietnam.

This year 400 landmark sites around the world like the Empire State Building in New York, the Great Wall of China, and the London City Hall turned green to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
