The
Hanoi Book Street includes 16 stalls and a small square for workshops and
exchange activities. There are 2 public information stations on both ends of
the street where visitors can search information about Hanoi’s history,
culture, and tourism. Free wifi is also available. Doctor Nguyen Manh Hung,
General Director of Thai Ha Book Company, said: “I was one of the first persons to
come up with the idea of establishing a book street in Hanoi. The Hanoi Book Street is
one of the largest and most beautiful that I have ever seen. I think it’s
necessary to open 4 book streets, just like Hanoi’s 4 gates: North, South,
East, and West. We intend to submit a dossier to the city for a second book
street in Cau Giay district.”
