Buddhist art during the Ly dynasty, from the 11th to 13th centuries, represents a pinnacle of artistic achievements in Vietnam’s past. It features a unique synthesis of Zen Buddhist spirituality and indigenous culture, combining royal and folk arts to create a distinctive and exceptional style.
The exhibition presents four areas: temple and pagoda architecture, sculpture, ceramic art, and music and dance.
"This exhibition spotlights selected artifacts from the Buddhist heritage of the Ly dynasty. Employing 3D mapping, holograms, and other modern technologies, the exhibition aims to reconstruct, recreate, and revive this precious cultural heritage, offering visitors a new, profound, and captivating experience," said Dr. Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the National Museum of History.
The exhibition is open from now until July.
