The train will consist of 10 carriages, including 5 passenger cars designed with distinct themes inspired by Hanoi’s five historic city gates: Quan Chuong, Cau Den, Dong Mac, Cau Giay and Cho Dua gates. Each carriage will have two levels, offering passengers varied experiences.
Once in service, the train will operate three daily round trips, departing from Hanoi Station and stopping at Long Bien, Gia Lam, Yen Vien, and Tu Son (Bac Ninh province) before returning. Departure times are set for 8:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:30 p.m., allowing visitors to enjoy both day and night journeys. The Hanoi Train is expected to be a tourism highlight during the National Day holiday on September 2 and to become a new symbol of the capital’s tourism industry.
