This information was unveiled during a meeting held on Tuesday between Vu Thu Ha, vice chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, and Subhash Prasad Gupta, deputy chief of the mission from the Embassy of India in Vietnam.

A number of art troupes from India will arrive in Vietnam this year, Gupta said, hoping that India will continue to receive support from the municipal administration to deploy cultural exchange activities between the two countries this year.

The Indian diplomat revealed that the highlight of the exchange program will be International Yoga Day and “Run for Peace” due to take place in Hanoi from June 18. Both of events are expected to attract the participation of over 1,000 people, he said.

The capital is ready to join India in organizing the upcoming activities effectively with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples whilst elevating joint relations to new heights, Ha said.
