The two-day event will bring together police music groups from Laos, the Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar, Vietnam, Japan, and China.

They will parade around the lake on the morning of July 9 and perform in a music gala to be held at Ly Thai To flower garden on the evening of July 10.

Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Anh Thong of the ceremonial troupe of the police said more than 100 policemen had spent two months preparing for the ASEAN+ music gala event, and a rehearsal of the festival will be held on July 2.

The festival is being organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to mark the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam People’s Police Force on July 20.
