The recognition highlights the capital’s achievements in education and training, Hanoi People’s Committee Chairman Vu Dai Thang said at the event.

”The journey to build a learning city never really ends. It is a long-term effort that requires passion and determination. With its thousand-year cultural tradition, I believe Hanoi can become a model learning city, a center of knowledge and human values for the region and the world. We are committed to working closely with other members of the network, promoting education and training, strengthening Hanoi’s role as a dynamic capital, applying digital technology, mobilizing resources, and bringing society together to invest in education and lifelong learning,” said Thang.

Joining the Global Learning Cities Network allows Hanoi to expand international cooperation and share knowledge and experience with 425 other member cities in 91 countries, and will create opportunities for the capital to attract investment in education, develop new learning models, and reinforce its position as a leading regional hub for knowledge and learning.
