Conference attendees agreed on the plan that increases Hanoi’s competitiveness and makes it a center for global and regional integration.

Dang Huong Giang, Head of the municipal Department of Tourism, said it is essential to include tourism infrastructure development in the city planning to make the most of Hanoi’s potential.

Giang said: “Hanoi position in the Red River Delta is a great advantage for the city to develop its economy and tourism sector. A number of bridges connecting the two river banks should be built to boost tourism. Research is needed to find the best way to use Hanoi’s architectural and cultural history to attract more domestic and foreign tourists.”
