Hanoi Museum introduces new exhibition, opens free of charge

(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi Museum is offering free admission through March 2 as it welcomes visitors in the early days of the Lunar New Year.

Located on Pham Hung Street in Tu Liem Ward, the museum has introduced its new exhibition featuring six national treasures and groups of nationally recognized artefacts.

“The permanent exhibition is arranged around seven major themes and 35 sub-themes, showcasing nearly 7,000 documents and artefacts, said Nguyen Tien Da, Director of the Hanoi Museum. "We have also installed 14 multimedia search screens with a large database for visitors to explore. At the same time, we will continue updating and adding information on the history of Thang Long, the former name of Hanoi.”

The seven main themes cover Nature; the Journey to Thang Long; Thang Long from the 11th to the 18th centuries; Hanoi in the 19th and 20th centuries; the resistance wars; Building Socialism; and Hanoi Toward the Future.

In addition to the permanent displays, the Hanoi Museum has opened interactive experience rooms and a creative installation art centre.
