The program was jointly organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the World Health Organization (WHO).
A highlight was the integration of air-quality sensor data into the national monitoring system, a major step forward in applying technology to help citizens access real-time information and take proactive measures to protect their health.
After the ceremony, participants joined a walk to promote green transport choices and reduce personal emissions.

“Hanoi welcomes and supports the ‘Clean Air Vietnam 2025’ initiative. We are ready to pioneer and coordinate its implementation, contributing to the national goal of improving air quality, protecting public health, and promoting sustainable development,” said Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Representatives of international organizations pledged continued support for Vietnam in addressing air pollution challenges toward a greener, healthier future for all.
