465 works by 60 artists from 22 countries and territories are on display until next Saturday.
The event is an initiative of VietnamInAcquarello, a branch of the International Watercolor Museum – the world’s largest community of watercolor painters.
Art lovers will have a chance to follow the process of forming a watercolor painting and partly see the influence of cultures on the choice of themes, designs, and styles of the artists.
“The exhibition, which takes place in the Temple of Literature, is an excellent opportunity to promote Vietnam’s history and culture to international artists,” said painter Dam Truyen Minh, the event’s chief organizer.
The foreign painters will also engage in a Hanoi-Ninh Binh painting tour from Monday to Wednesday to capture the beauty of Vietnamese landscapes, relic sites, and local livelihoods.
