(VOVworld) - A conference entitled “Good people – good deeds” was held in Hanoi on Tuesday to honour 56 outstanding Catholic followers in Hanoi. Le Thanh Minh, head of the Tay Ho district’s committee for the solidarity of Catholics, hailed the honorees for their contributions to the city development and to tightening bonds between Vietnam’s Catholic Church and the government: “We volunteered to join the district committee for the solidarity of Catholics to boost mutual understanding between the Vietnam Catholic Church and the government. I will continue to do my best to contribute further to national development and not to do anything harmful to the Church or the government.”
