Mr. Chung said this at a meeting on Thursday with more than 100 of Vietnam’s chief representatives in foreign countries who are in Hanoi for the 18th National Foreign Affair Conference and the 29th Diplomatic Conference. Mr. Chung said he hoped ambassadors, consuls general and chief representatives will understand more about Hanoi’s policies and the direction of its development and continue to support the capital city in promoting its image, connecting with and seeking partners in development.

Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said Vietnam’s representative offices abroad have attached great importance to promoting Vietnam’s image and seeking partners in development, especially for Hanoi. Mr. Son expressed his hope that Vietnam’s representative offices would do more in the future to promote a peaceful, friendly and developed image of Hanoi to foreign friends.
