Hanoi, Fukuoka bolster cooperation

(VOVworld) - A Japanese delegation led by the Governor of Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture, Hiroshi Ogawa, is on a visit to Hanoi.

(VOVworld) - A Japanese delegation led by the Governor of Japan’s Fukuoka prefecture, Hiroshi Ogawa, is on a visit to Hanoi. At a reception on Tuesday, Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao said Hanoi and Fukuoka have organized many projects and events to foster cultural cooperation and bilateral ties. Ogawa said his visit will boost relations between the two localities. He added that the prefecture will host “Fukuoka Days in Hanoi” from August 29-31 to popularize its image, culture and industries, and will organize an expo to boost exchanges in business, tourism, and studying abroad.

 Hanoi and Fukuoka also signed a new memorandum of understanding on fostering friendship and cooperation. Two Directors of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment signed a memorandum of understanding on developing landfills using modern technology.
