In May alone, the city attracted 17 million USD from 19 new FDI projects, 70 million USD from seven existing projects' increased capital and 10.6 million USD from 19 foreign investors’ capital contribution and buying of shares.

In the first five months of this year, Hanoi saw 92 new projects registered for a total investment of 1.12 billion USD.

Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, said that the city is strongly renovating its administrative procedures and listening to opinions of investors and businesses.
