(VOVworld) – A high-ranking delegation of Hanoi officials led by Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi concluded their 11-day tour of 4 European countries on Friday.
In Russia, the delegation met Ivan Melnikov, first Vice President the Russian Duma and first Vice President of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party. They also held talks with Moscow leaders. Both sides discussed concrete measures to advance the comprehensive cooperation between the two capital cities. Deputy Mayor of Moscow Petr Biriukov and Vice Chairperson of Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Hong Khanh signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral friendship and cooperation.
Receiving the Hanoi delegation in Warsaw, Poland, the municipal leaders expressed their hope to boost cooperation and experience sharing in relic preservation and socio-economic development.
During working sessions of Vice President of Czech Communist Party and Prague leaders, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in urban management and heritage preservation.
In Hungary, Party Secretary Nghi and the Deputy Mayor of Budapest pledged to continue to successfully implement cooperative deals signed by both sides, while encouraging exchanges and cooperation between districts and agencies to create a firm foundation for long-term cooperation between the two cities.
