Israeli media outlets reported that sirens sounded in Tel Aviv as a result of the rocket attack.
Earlier, Israeli warplanes flattened the Palestine Tower, a residential building in Gaza that contained about 100 apartments, displacing its residents, according to the Hamas-run Interior Ministry.
The 14-floor Palestine Tower, one of the first residential towers built in Gaza, contains residential apartments and headquarters for local media companies and relief institutions.
According to Palestinian security sources, Israeli drones were dispatched to issue a warning, and once the building had been evacuated, warplanes completely destroyed it.
Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have killed 232 people and injured 1,697, according to an update from the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza on Saturday. The airstrikes were carried out in response to an earlier rocket attack by Hamas.
