Hai Phong to host 3rd APEC Business Advisory Council meeting in July

(VOVWORLD) - Hai Phong city will host the third meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III) from July 15 to 18, bringing together 250 delegates from 21 APEC economies. President Luong Cuong will attend and deliver the opening remarks.

At ABAC III, one of four official meetings of the APEC Business Advisory Council to be held this year, members will discuss policy recommendations to be submitted to the APEC leaders and letters to APEC Ministers.

Within the framework of ABAC III, there will be closed sessions of the ABAC, thematic group meetings, and working sessions between ABAC delegates and representatives of Vietnamese businesses.

Hosting ABAC III is not only a significant diplomatic opportunity for Vietnam but also an occasion to affirm its active role in regional integration and show its commitment to free trade and inclusive, sustainable development – core values pursued by both APEC and ABAC.
