The new patient is a 44 year- old man who lives in Lai Cach town, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong City. He is currently placed into isolation to receive treatment at Hai Duong General Hospital, with epidemiological information continuing to be investigated.

The capital city of Hanoi has recorded 19 positive COVID-19 cases so far, one related to the outbreak in Quang Ninh, the other 18 linked to the biggest Hai Duong coronavirus epicenter.

In the face of the complicated developments of COVID-19 pandemic in Hanoi, the Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee has asked relevant units to continue putting cases having close contact with infected patients into isolation, intensifying contract tracing and increasing testing capacity in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading to the wider community.
