The first foreign visitors to Ha Long Bay in the 2018 lunar new year are offered lucky money and calligraphy works.

The visitors arrived at the UNESCO World Heritage Site on the morning of Friday, the first day of the 2018 lunar new year. 60,000 foreign visitors, mostly from South Korea, China, North America and France, have registered to tour the famous bay during the 5-day Tet holiday. 

Ha Long Bay, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, was twice recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, in 1994 and 2000. In 2012, New 7 Wonders Foundation named the bay as one of  New Seven Natural Wonders of the world.
