It also asked for the EU’s promised human resource support. The first migrants from Greece are expected to arrive in Luxembourg and Switzerland in a few days. This is part of the EU’s plan to resettle around 160,000 migrants from Greece and Italy in the next 2 years.
Greece’s Migration Policy Ministry said around 480 million euros will be needed in 2016 for the countries where migrants first arrived. 330 million euros of this are not in the EU’s financial plan.
The same day, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, criticized Czech Republic authorities for detaining refugees and illegal immigrants in terrible conditions.
