The annual event aims to promote the national great unity; honor, preserve and promote values of the cultural heritage of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups; and step up cultural exchange activities.
It is part of the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The opening ceremony will take place next Saturday evening, featuring a special art program called "Vietnam rising era."
The highlight of this year’s program will be the seventh Then singing and Tinh musical instrument festival of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic groups, with amateur performers from 14 provinces and cities.
The program will also include a display of traditional cultural items; demonstrations of traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and Tinh musical instrument making; introductions of ethnic minority cuisine; and a photo exhibition on Then singing and Tinh musical instruments.
