Norman has made Vietnam "Asia's Best Golf Destination" 8 consecutive times (from 2017 to 2024) and "the World's Best Golf Destination" twice (in 2019 and 2021), as voted by World Golf Awards, the most prestigious award in the field and part of the World Travel Award system.
He has promoted Vietnam on international media channels like CNN, CNBC, the Golf Channel, and Golf Digest, positioning Vietnam as an emerging golf destination in Southeast Asia and globally.
Norman has also designed several prominent golf courses in Vietnam, including The Bluffs Ho Tram, KN Golf Links Cam Ranh, and Legend Danang Golf Resort.
“It’s not easy to hold and realize a 25-year vision. When we first came to Vietnam in 2005, we saw enormous untapped potential. After more than 15 years in golf, being named Vietnam’s Ambassador for Golf and Tourism affirms my belief in the opportunities this country offers,” said Norman.
He said despite the pandemic setback, Vietnam has done a remarkable job in recovery and is now driving sustainable growth in golf and tourism.
