Tunisia has announced the suspension of ferry services to northern Italy plus other measures in response to the spreading coronavirus.

Iran's Health Ministry on Thursday reported more than 590 more cases, raising its total to more than 3,500. 15 more people died from the virus, lifting Iran’s fatality count to 107.

The number of confirmed cases in South Korea has risen by 518 to more than 6,200, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said on Friday. The death toll there has risen to 42.

Italy reported 41 new deaths from coronavirus on Thursday, bringing its total to 148, the second highest outside of China.

The coronavirus grew more deadly in the US, with the US death toll climbing to 12 on Thursday. More than 225 cases have been confirmed there.
