The United States remains the most severely affected country, with nearly 580.000 deaths and 32.3 million infections, followed by India and Brazil. 

Europe has recorded 47.4 million infections and more than 1 million deaths, and continues to be the most affected area in the world. Asia has reported 292,000 deaths and 20.5 million infections.
