(VOVworld) – Germany is willing to improve its partnership with the US on the basis of mutual trust and respect, said Germany Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier on Thursday following political fallout between Germany and the US regarding the double agent case.

He urged the US to show sincerity in its cooperation with Germany to improve bilateral partnership. He said he would tackle the diplomatic fallout from the latest twist in more than a year-long rift with the US over surveillance when he meets US Secretary of State John Kerry for weekend talks on Iran.
